Ingredients

 700g Beef Ribs
 1.5 Liters Water
 1 Big Onions (quartered)
 4 cloves Garlic (sliced)
 1 Rib Soup Spice Sachet (Sup Bunjut) - includes cinnamon, star anise, cloves, cardamom
 3 Potatoes (quartered)
 2 Carrots (sliced)
 2 stalks Chinese celery (tied in a knot)
 3 Chili Padi
 2 tsp Salt
 1 tsp Pepper Garnishing: Spring Onions

Instructions

  1. Place beef ribs into a large pot, we used a pressure cooker to save time.
  2. Add the water, onions, garlic and Spice sachet into the pot.
  3. We let it boil for about 35mins in the pressure cooker (please adjust the time if using a normal pot) - until the meat is tender.
  4. Carefully remove the lid (please don’t burn yourself) and when it has cooled down a little, remove the oil and any meat remnants from the soup.
  5. Then add in the potatoes, carrot, Chinese celery, chilli padi, salt and pepper and boil for about 15mins til potatoes and carrots have softened.
  6. Finally add the tomatoes.
  7. Serve with garnishes.
