Prawn Dumplings

Not only are these prawn dumplings simply delish, but it makes for a fabulous dumpling-making party activity for the whole family!

Ingredients

1 Ear of corn, shucked, kernels cut off the cob, or vegetable or your choice
300g Prawns (shelled and deveined)
1 Stalk Spring Onion (chopped)
2 Tsp Minced Fresh Garlic
2 Tsp Minced Fresh Ginger
1 Tsp Salt
20g Small Round Gyoza Wrappers
 Soy Sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Cut the kernels off the cob. Peel the shell and devein the prawns and mince.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the corn kernels with the prawns, garlic, ginger, green onions and season with salt.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of the filling in the gyoza wrapper, brush the edges with water, fold one side of the wrapper over to form a half-moon, pressing the edges together to seal.
  4. In a steamer basket, steam the dumplings over simmering water until cooked through, 5 minutes. Alternately, boil the dumplings for about 3 minutes.
  5. Serve with soy sauce.
