Kuih Lepat Pisang
Bananas, the most versatile fruit, is the star in another traditional kuih. A tried and tested recipe, this Lepat Pisang is simple and very satisfying.
|3 Banana (200g)|
|80g Plain Flour|
|50g Shredded Coconut|
|8 Banana leaves (20cmx20cm)|
- In a bowl, mash the banana lightly then add the flour, sugar, and shredded coconut (add 1/4 tsp salt if preferred), then stir until well combined.
- Take a banana leaf, put 1 tablespoon of the banana batter in the centre. Fold both sides of the leaf and then the two ends of the leaf to seal the mixture.
- Steam the small parcels at high heat for about 10-15 minutes.
