Kacang Panjang Belacan With Prawns
This recipe is not only quick and easy but cost efficient too! This dish is so sedap, and if you don’t want the prawns it’s just as delicious without it too.

Ingredients
¾ inch cube Belacan (Prawn Paste) | |
6-8 Shallots | |
3 cloves Garlic | |
3 Red Chillies | |
100 g Prawns | |
250 g Long Beans | |
½ cup Water for blending | |
1 tsp Salt | |
¼ cup Vegetable Oi | |
1 tbsp Oyster sauce | |
1 tsp Black pepper |
Instructions
- Blend chillies, shallots, garlic, belacan and 3 tbsp water to a paste
- In a wok, heat up the oil. Add prawns, oyster sauce, pepper and salt to taste. Cook for 15 seconds and set aside
- In a clean wok, stir fry blended spice paste for 4-5 minutes until fragrant
- Add in long beans and fry on high heat and add salt to taste
- Stir fry for about 3-4 minutes until green beans are cooked to slightly tender.
- Add in cooked prawns then serve
