½ kg Ladies Fingers
1 Red Onion
3 cloves Garlic (pounded)
2 Dried Chilies
6 Dried Anchovies
1 Curry leaf stem
1 cup Water
3 tbsp Grated coconut
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp  Salt (or to taste)


  1. Pound grated coconut with cumin seeds
  2. In a wok, heat up oil and add red onion, pounded garlic, dried anchovies, dried chilli and curry leaf. Fry until golden brown.
  3. Add sliced lady’s finger, add salt
  4. Stir for 3 minutes, add in pounded coconut mixture
  5. Add ¼ water
  6. Cook for additional 4 minutes
  7. Plate and serve
